Certification of steel plates
Certificate usually 3.2, never less than 3.1
All of our steel plates have at least a 3.1 certificate stating the:
- material grade
- material standard
- heat and plate number
- mechanical properties
- chemical composition
The heat and plate numbers are hard stamped onto the plate. You can use this information to check whether the material matches your certificate.
Most of our stock has a 3.2 certification, so you can rest assured that the production and certification have been carried out under the supervision of an independent official inspection body (DNV GL, Lloyd’s Register, TüV, American Bureau of Shipping).
Re-stamping and re-certification
AncoferWaldram Steelplates is authorized to re-stamp 3.2 certified material. We can give you all the advice you need on the specific requirements of re-certification. With our many years of experience, we know how to deal with exceptions such lifting equipment, stamping on site under supervision of a third party, or re-inspecting steel with confirmation from an inspection authority.
